Saudi Baloot Set

Our research has not yielded conclusive documentation of the game's origins, but accounts link it to Jass in Germany and
Austria, considered the precursor to Baloot in the 18th century. Klaberjass in the Netherlands followed as a close extension,
and then, at the beginning of the 19th century, the first version resembling Baloot, called Belote, appeared in France.
From there, it spread to North Africa, then to the Arab world, and was brought by pilgrims to the Hejaz, where it began to spread throughout the Arabian Peninsula.

Origins of some Baloot terms:

* Bas: from Pass, meaning to skip a turn.
* Sun: from the French word Sans, meaning without trump.
* Hokm: a translation of the French word Atout, meaning the trump suit.
* Aka: from Ace or As, likely adapted phonetically into Arabic.
Saudi Arabia remains a gateway for civilizations between East and West.
